Who we are
Econ Herald is an independent digital newsroom published by Econ Herald Media LLC. We cover the economy the way it reaches kitchen tables: interest rates that show up in a mortgage quote, job reports that show up in a paycheck, and policy changes that show up at tax time.
Our goal is simple. When a number moves or a rule changes, we tell you what happened, why it happened and what it could mean for your household budget, without jargon and without hype.

Editorial standards
Sourcing
We build stories on primary sources wherever possible: official statistics releases, central bank statements, government agencies, court filings and company disclosures. When we rely on another outlet's reporting, we say so. We do not publish invented quotes, and we do not present estimates as facts.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Substantive errors are corrected in the article and the correction is noted. If you spot a mistake, tell the newsroom and include the headline and what you believe is incorrect.
Independence
Advertising keeps Econ Herald free to read, but advertisers have no say in what we cover or how we cover it. Sponsored material, if any, is clearly labeled and kept separate from our reporting.
